Helena, Mont. (Independent Record) - Spawning perch in Canyon Ferry Reservoir got some new habitat April 17 thanks to two DNRC helicopters. "Pines for Perch" has dropped nearly 80,000 trees to enhance habitat. It took only a few hours for more than 3,000 trees, weighted by concrete blocks, to be attached to the helicopters and dropped into the southern end of Canyon Ferry Lake.
